Jon Vasey Obtains Summary Judgment for Insurance Client in Iowa District Court

Attorney Jon Vasey successfully argued before the Iowa District Court for Polk County that his insurance client could not be held liable for uninsured motorist benefits due to an exclusion in the policy. The Plaintiff sought uninsured motorist benefits following an accident, during which the Plaintiff was occupying a rideshare vehicle. Mr. Vasey filed a Motion for Summary Judgment on behalf of the insurer, arguing that uninsured motorist coverage was not available for accidents that occur when the named insured vehicle is being operated as a rideshare service. The Court agreed with Mr. Vasey and entered judgment for the insurer as a matter of law.
